Samba for eComStation (OS/2)

OS/2's native implementation of SMB/CIFS hasen't been updated for a long time and has some compatibility problems with modern Windows SMB/CIFS implementations.

Currently the following components are available from here:

  • Samba Server Version 3.0.x
  • Samba Client for file shares 1.0 and 1.5beta. At the moment http://www.blueprintsoftwareworks.com/netdrive/index.html">NetDrive, a well known virtual file system for OS/2, is required for our plugin.
  • Samba Client for printing 1.0

The first Samba for OS/2 version was just possible because netlabs.org hired nickk for porting it. Now it's a volunter project.
